Privacy Policy

What this site collects, what it does not, and which third parties see anything at all. Last updated 5 August 2026.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect or store any personally identifiable information. It records aggregate page views, referrers, country, device type and browser — no individual profiles, no cross-site tracking, and nothing that can be traced back to you.

We use this data for one purpose: deciding which languages and which pages are worth more work. It is not sold, shared or joined to anything else.

Advertising

This site runs advertising through a third-party ad network. Ads may use cookies or similar technologies to serve content and measure performance, and the ad network’s own privacy policy governs what they collect — we do not receive or store that data ourselves.

Ad slots on this site are static containers placed within the page. There are no pop-ups, no interstitials, no auto-playing video ads, and no ads above the page heading. Ad containers reserve their space before loading so the page does not shift under you.

If you want to limit ad personalisation, your browser and operating system settings are the effective control, along with any opt-out the ad network offers in its own policy.

What we do not collect

  • No account creation, so no usernames or passwords.
  • No email addresses, except one you voluntarily send us. Any email you send is used only to reply to you and is not added to a list.
  • No comment system, no forum, no user submissions.
  • No newsletter.
  • Nothing is sold to third parties, because nothing is collected that could be.

This site links to House House’s official site and social accounts, to the Steam, Mac App Store, PlayStation and Nintendo storefronts, and to press outlets for review citations. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we do not control them.

Trailers are embedded from YouTube using a facade: the thumbnail is a static image, and nothing is loaded from YouTube until you click to play. Once you click, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies. We use the youtube-nocookie domain, which limits what YouTube stores before playback.

Images are served from our own storage rather than hotlinked from the official site, so viewing a page here does not send a request to House House’s servers.

Your rights

Because we collect minimal personal data, there is very little to request access to or deletion of. If you have questions about data handling on this site, or want any email correspondence deleted, use the address on the contact page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or its advertising and analytics providers change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
