Big Walk has twelve Steam achievements. Every one of them is named “Big” something, ten have public descriptions, and two are hidden. The global unlock rates below were read from Steam’s own statistics on 5 August 2026 — the day after release — so they will drift as more players get further in.
They are worth reading as a progression chart rather than a checklist. Big Walk is a linear hand-crafted adventure with a beginning, middle and end, and these rates show exactly where groups stop.

Reading the drop-off
The interesting number is not any single rate — it is the gap between the first two.
81.5% cross the drawbridge. This is Big Walk, the achievement that shares its name with the game, and it is effectively the end of the opening. Four out of five players who launch it get here.
34.9% visit the map. Less than half of the people who crossed the drawbridge reached the next milestone. That is a collapse, and it happens at the first objective that asks the whole group to travel somewhere together.
8.2% ride the chairlift, 4.3% ride the train. By the midgame the population has thinned to under a tenth.
0.2% go beyond the wall. One player in five hundred.
The mechanical explanation is not difficulty. Big Walk saves on the host’s machine only, there is no matchmaking to replace a missing friend, and House House designed it to be played by the same group across multiple sessions. A run that stops at 34.9% is usually a group that could not get the same four people online a second time — which is why the beginner guide spends more time on scheduling than on gameplay.
Big Goodbye (0.2%) and Big Game (0.1%) have no published descriptions — Steam hides them, which typically means the description would spoil something.
Their unlock rates are informative anyway. Big Goodbye sits at exactly the same 0.2% as Big Wall (“Go beyond the wall”), which suggests the two are close together near the end of the game. The name also fits: House House confirm Big Walk has “a beginning, a middle, and an end,” and a goodbye is what an ending sounds like.
Big Game at 0.1% is the joint-rarest alongside Big Makeover (“Get shiny”). Nothing further can be responsibly said about either.
What the names tell you
Every achievement is a two-word “Big ___” construction, and the descriptions are all four or five words. That terseness is doing something: it names a place or an action without explaining what either is for.
Between them the ten visible descriptions name seven distinct locations — a drawbridge, a map you visit rather than open, a chairlift, a train, a highest point, a big tunnel, and a wall you can go beyond. Those are the only named places in Big Walk with a first-party source behind them, and they are collected on the landmarks page.
The remaining three describe wearable and cosmetic states rather than places: wearing a backpack (27.8%), wearing something on your hip (6.3%), and getting shiny (0.1%).
